These Terms & Conditions set out the rules for the provision of nutrition consulting and nutrition education services by The Mindful Plate ("we," "us," "the Provider") to individuals using these services ("you," "the Client").
Using our services, booking a session, or making a payment constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions. The current version is always available on our website / provided to the Client before the engagement begins.
2. Nature of the Services
The Mindful Plate provides nutrition consulting and education services based on current scientific evidence (evidence-based nutrition).
These services do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or therapy for any illness or condition. They do not replace consultation with a doctor, clinical dietitian, or other qualified healthcare professional.
The service is advisory and educational in nature, not medical or therapeutic. Any nutrition or lifestyle recommendations should, where in doubt, be discussed with your treating doctor — particularly in the case of existing medical conditions, pregnancy, medication use, or other special health circumstances.
The Provider may ask about relevant health information but does not carry out diagnostic testing or interpret test results in a way that replaces a medical opinion.
Before starting an ongoing engagement, the Provider recommends a free, 30-minute introductory call, during which both parties can better understand each other's expectations and make an informed decision about whether to move forward together. Taking part in this introductory call is not mandatory, but is recommended.
3. No Guarantee of Results
The Provider makes every effort to ensure the knowledge and recommendations shared are accurate, current, and evidence-based.
The Provider does not guarantee any specific outcome, including but not limited to weight loss, muscle gain, recovery, remission, improved test results, changes to health markers, or any other individual health or body-composition goal.
Results depend on many factors outside the Provider's control, including individual health and genetic factors, consistency in following recommendations, lifestyle, stress levels, sleep, physical activity, and the Client's own engagement.
Case studies, testimonials, or examples used in marketing materials are illustrative only and do not guarantee similar results for any Client.
4. Client Cooperation and Responsibility
The effectiveness of the service depends on the Client's active and honest cooperation: providing accurate and complete information about their health, lifestyle, and eating habits; consistently implementing agreed recommendations; promptly informing the Provider of any changes in health status, medication, or other relevant circumstances; and attending sessions on time.
The Client bears sole responsibility for decisions made on the basis of the recommendations received and for how they are implemented in daily life.
The Provider is not responsible for a lack of results arising from the Client's failure to follow recommendations, discontinuation of the engagement, incomplete information provided, or undisclosed health circumstances.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider is not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from use of the services, including health-related harm from failing to follow a doctor's advice, the Client's own modification of recommendations, or concealment of relevant health information.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits the Provider's liability where such exclusion would be unlawful under the laws of Singapore (including the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act).
6. Confidentiality and Personal Data
Information shared by the Client during consultations is treated as confidential and used solely to provide the service.
Personal data is processed in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Full details are set out in our separate Data Privacy & Protection page.
7. Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds
Payment for a session or package is made in advance, via PayNow or bank transfer. Multi-session packages may be split into two payments, arranged individually.
The Client may cancel or reschedule a booked session at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice.
If cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or in case of a no-show, the session is forfeited with no refund or rescheduling.
If the Client discontinues a multi-session package partway through, the Client is entitled to a refund of the difference between the amount already paid and the standard single-session rate multiplied by the number of sessions actually used. This means sessions used are re-priced at the full standard rate, and the package discount applies only to sessions actually completed. If the value of sessions used at the standard rate equals or exceeds the amount paid, no refund is due.
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase and non-transferable; unused vouchers expire with no refund.
Domestic Helper Nutrition Programme sessions (One-to-One/Private or Group, 4 sessions either way) are scheduled weekly, subject to availability.
The Group package requires 2–4 participants; if the minimum isn't reached, the Provider first offers to reschedule, and if that still isn't possible, the Client receives a full refund.
8. Intellectual Property
All materials provided to the Client (nutrition plans, educational materials, session summaries) are the intellectual property of The Mindful Plate, provided solely for the Client's personal use.
The Client may not copy, distribute, or resell any materials received without the Provider's written consent.
9. Partnerships, Endorsements, and Collaborations
The Mindful Plate does not partner with, endorse, recommend, or promote any individual, brand, product, or service that is inconsistent with our values or the mission of The Mindful Plate.
We reserve the sole discretion to decline any partnership, collaboration, sponsorship, or promotional opportunity, regardless of the commercial terms offered, where we determine it does not align with our values or mission.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
